Welcome to Tor Sport & Leisure Centre in Glastonbury, Somerset
Glastonbury's Tor Leisure was the social club for Morlands up until the mid 80's and through various transitions now provides a fully inclusive community centre whilst retaining the original bowls and cricket clubs.Many new and increasingly popular activities take place on the grounds including Rounders, Frisbee, associated tournaments, junior football, balloon take offs, 20/20 cricket and army cadet training sessions.
Indoors the venue provides space for a variety of entertainments, club meetings and large social gatherings. We take pride in serving families, friends, the community, business and visitors to Glastonbury and Somerset. Our opening hours are Mon - Sat 11.00 a.m to 11.00 p.m.
Sun 11.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Unless prior arrangement.
MAIN BAR
Friendly and helpful Management and Staff are all BII trained and always on hand to provide professional assistance with your special occasion or event.We try to ensure all our customers are well looked after and thoroughly enjoy their visit.
There is a second big screen, 1 speed cloth pool match table, Wii, Karaoke, disco, skittles, darts and surprise events.Or you can simply chill out with your friends or family.

FUNCTION ROOM
Available for weddings, birthdays, discos, anniversaries, corporate meetings, training seminars, club AGMs and dinners; dance festivals, exhibitions, film/slide shows, band practice, gigs, showcases, theatre, lectures and fundraisers.For 250 standing, 200 seater shows and 90 sit down meals.
This room also doubles up as a cinema with OH projection onto a 21ft screen and can project from video, dvd or laptop with 350watt powered amps front and back creating a quality surround sound experience.The perfect venue for major televised sports events and festivals including Sky TV football matches.
THE LONG ROOM
With a full size custom painted Nemo style bouncy castle, this room is ideal for childrens parties especially when combined with the outdoor enclosed grassed area.This room is also used for meetings, dance classes, aerobics, training seminars and private parties.For 100 seater shows, 80 sit down, 150 standing events.
SKITTLE ALLEY
There is unique history of the century mural in possibly one of the more testing alleys in the country.This room is also used for meetings and fencing classes.
Home teams play in the Glastonbury League, Wells League and Street and District League.New players and teams are welcome to use the alley.
Maximum 60 seating.
OUTDOORS
The 15 acre Open Public Space accommodates 1x13 strip cricket table with a 65metre boundary, an artificial cricket strip with a 50metre boundary, 2 artificial grass cricket nets and 6 Test quality grass cricket strips.There is room for three 100x55metre (approx) football pitches or six 100x35metre frisbee pitches or 10 junior football pitches.
Also available are 6 rounders pitches, 3 grass hockey pitches, a superb outdoor bowls rink, a floodlit netball court, two hard surface tennis courts and a multi use games area.There are endless opportunities for fun, corporate or competitive sport. |
